Hello! Today I wanted to talk about the books that I read in September! If you are a frequent visitor of my blog, you might be aware that I have been in a huge reading slump for quite sometime. I talked about it in my first post back from a blogging break which you can read: here. I talk about how I planned on getting out of a reading slump. And I have to say… it seems to be working! This is not the greatest wrap up in terms of numbers, but amazing in terms of quality!

White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson
White Smoke has been on my TBR for a whole year now! I had been saving it for Autumn. I am a huge mood reader, and I love reading slightly spooky books during the autumn, but last year, I didn’t get to it in time. I was really blown away by this novel. It was my first book by Tiffany D. Jackson and it definitely won’t be the last. I loved the writing style and everything about this book. My review will be coming shortly, so I will save most of my thoughts for then!
Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match by Sally Thorne
Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match was very bizarre in the best kind of ways. I had such a fun time reading this one. It did take me a while, and there were parts of it that seemed to drag, but it was still a really funny book! My review of this one is also coming very soon, so I will go into more details then. But one thing I did want to touch on was the love triangle in it. I am not a huge lover of love triangles anyway, but this one felt so silly. I feel like you could have taken that whole proportion of the book out and nothing would have changed. Like I said, my review will be coming soon, and despite the love triangle I would still recommend it. It was such a fun read!
The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling
And finally, I reread The Ex Hex. I forgot how fun this book was and flew through it. I stayed up way past my bed time on Monday night and read for far too long. Going back into that book felt like going home. It was such a cosy, atmospheric place and I forgot how funny it was! I am currently reading The Kiss Curse which is the next instalment in the series and it is so great. I hope this series continues for a while! I do have a review for The Ex Hex if you wanted to read it: here.
I started blogging again this month! I’ve always tried to have a schedule of posting every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and from when I started posting again, I only missed one of these uploads! I am really proud of that. It can often be hard getting back into the swing of posting, so to have just missed one upload is brilliant. Here are the posts I posted in September:
How Am I Going To Get Out of My Reading Slump
Top 5 Things a Bookworm Would Never Do
I don’t have a writing update for you this month, however I have been thinking a lot about Preptober and NaNoWriMo! I am in the process of sorting out my computer and everything to do with that etc, so hopefully October and definitely November will be better months for me when it comes to writing!
That is all for now! Let me know how your September was!
I’ve been hearing so many good things about Angelika Frankenstein! I’m glad you had such a great reading month đŸ™‚
