Hello! Today I wanted to do another WWW Wednesday as I haven’t done one in a long time! As always, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
There are just three questions to answer:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading Mortal Monarchs: 1,000 Years of Royal Deaths by Suzie Edge. I love history and I love watching Suzie Edge’s TikToks about history. When I saw that she was coming out with a book, I had to preorder it immediately. This is a wonderful book that is discussing the deaths of the Kings and Queens of England and Scotland spanning 1,000 years. It is funny and gruesome and educating. I love that she really dives into whether this is factual or not or just how the monarch or society wanted them to be perceived. It is fascinating. I am also listening to the audiobook and Suzie Edge narrates it herself and she is wonderful!
What did you recently finish reading?
I just finished The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling! I am a bit behind on my reviews at the moment, so I am not sure when I will be able to get that one up, but I am hoping it will be very soon. I really loved it! I am not sure I enjoyed it as much as The Ex Hex, but it was still such a fun read and it was really fun to be back in that small, cosy, magical town.
Side note, if anyone has any other recommendations for magical, small town, cosy books, please let me know! I am always looking for more.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I have so many choices to choose from, so I am not really sure! The Witches of Moonshyne Manor by Bianca Marais is high on the list though, so I think I might try this one. I think after the books I read in September, and the book that I just finished reading (The Kiss Curse), I want to stay on theme with all the spooky season/witchy books! I do also have The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna and Spells for Forgetting by Adrienne Young high up on my TBR too!
Let me know in the comments what you are currently reading!
The very secret society for irregular witches is brilliant but possibly doesn’t really fit the spooky vibe for this month.

That is fair! I only got half way through before falling into another slump, but what I did read I enjoyed!

I think I will have to give it another go next year! I read about half before falling back into a slump, and now I feel like I am not in the mood for a witchy book right now!
