top ten tuesday

Books on my Autumn TBR

Today I am taking part in another Top Ten Tuesday this week. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. Books that are on my autumn TBR is this weeks topic! As always, this is a very flexible list for me – I do not have the best track record at sticking with TBRs so we shall see how this goes!

White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson

I received an ARC of this book last year, but I didn’t read it in time for spooky season. I am a huge mood reader, and like to read certain books at certain times of the year. So, I have been waiting for this autumn to come back around so that I can read this one! I am so excited to read it, and it is very likely to be my first read from this list.

Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match by Sally Thorne

This one sounds like such a bizarre yet interesting take on Frankenstein. It kind of gives me the same vibes that The Ex Hex gave me which is just light-hearted Halloween vibes. Sort of like an adult version of Halloweentown. I will see how accurate this is when I read it! If you have already read it, let me know how accurate I am!

You by Caroline Kepnes

I do not normally read a book after watching the TV show, but this one I do want to read still! I know this is well loved by a lot of people and I am really excited to see how this holds up to the TV show.

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna

I only very recently found out about this book, and it has all I have been able to think about since i have! It is described as:

‘A warm and uplifting novel about an isolated witch whose opportunity to embrace a quirky new family–and a new love–changes the course of her life.’

And to be honest that just sounds perfect to me! It is exactly what I have been looking for.

The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling

I read The Ex Hex last year and absolutely adored it! When I heard there was a sequel coming out, I had to jump straight on that. This one is a companion novel which follows Gwyn. I loved Gwyn in The Ex Hex, so I am so excited to get my hands on this one.

Three Kisses, One Midnight by Roshani Chokshi, Sandhya Menon and Evelyn Skye

This is another light-hearted witchy read! Or rather the witchy-ness of the novel is the backdrop? I am unsure. But I am really excited to read it, it sounds amazing and every review I have read sing high praises for the novel.

All of Us Villains by Amanda Foody and Christine Lynn Herman

I bought this one last year after seeing so many book bloggers review it and love it, and it has kind of just sat on my shelf waiting. The cover looks bloody and gory and to me that screams spooky season, and this time of year, so hopefully I can get round to this one too!

The Weight of Blood by Tiffany D. Jackson

I don’t know too much about this one, however, I have seen that it is a Carrie inspired novel. I haven’t read the original Carrie, but I have seen the film once and I have watched the musical, so this book definitely intrigues me!

Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas

This one I actually started reading last year! However, I did not finish it in time before I had to start planning Blogmas last year. Like White Smoke, I also just wanted to wait to be back in ‘spooky season’ before attempting this one again!

The Witches of Moonshyne Manor by Bianca Marais

I think I am craving small-towny, group of witches, light-hearted because here is another one! This one is described as a magical heist which honestly sounds great and like it will be so much fun so I am really excited to dig into this one.

I didn’t realise that this entire list would be full of spooky season books, but honestly, I am not mad at it! Let me know what is on your autumn TBR!

  1. Great list! I really want to read You after watching all the seasons. I’m not sure why because I don’t usually after watching. I think there might be more to the psycho part that I would enjoy reading (Psychology degree- lol). I hope you enjoy these!
