Hello! Today I have another Top 5 Tuesday. Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm, but now it is hosted by Meeghan at Meeghan Reads. And this weeks topic… is not Top 5 Covers of 2021. This weeks is actually 5 books on my 2021 wishlist, however I am covering that later on in the month. So, I thought I would rejig the weeks a bit and do next weeks Top 5 Tuesday, this week!
Midnight in Everwood by K.A. Kuzniar
This cover is probably one of the prettiest I have ever seen. I bought the Waterstones edition and it has stunning sprayed edges too! It is so whimsical and magical and I haven’t read this one yet, but I can already tell it is going to be a beautifully crafted enchanted read.
Ariadne by Jennier Saint
Ariadne by Jennifer Saint is one of the most beautiful covers I have ever seen. The newest edition is also stunning, but there is something about this darker edition that I love so much. I think it has to do with the gold foil on the darker background that it absolutely beautiful.
Wings of Ebony by J. Elle
Another one where I love the contrast of the light and dark colours. Wings of Ebony by J. Elle is one that I want to get to by the end of the year! Hopefully next week, actually! It sounds like such a great story and the cover is certainly beautiful.
Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare (Tour Edition)
I love the original cover for Chain of Iron, but there is something about the Tour Edition that is breath-taking. I love the silhouettes and the lack of writing on the cover. It is a beautiful dust jacket and I am so glad that I managed to get a copy.
The Wolf and the Woodsman by Ava Reid
There is something so captivating about this book cover that I can’t quite pinpoint. I think it is to do with how I can’t quite decide if this is a bright or dark cover. I think the illustrations also make it stand out against the rest of my the books one my shelves. It is so eerie and yet stunning. I can’t wait to read it.
I seemed to have gone for all of the books that I haven’t read yet! All of these stories I am so excited for and I cannot wait to read them. I’m also interested to see that all of them are quite dark books, which surprises me because I normally love the brighter coloured books over the darker ones!
Do you love any of these covers? And what are some of your favourite book covers of the year?
