Books I Reread in 2020

I am normally a huge rereader. I love revisiting books that I have already read and I do this on a regular basis. I have a few staples that I read every year which include: The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. However, this year, I didn’t read nearly as much as I usually do, but I did still manage to get a few in!

Pillow Thoughts and Healing the Heart by Courtney Peppernell

I reread these two poetry collectionsin preperation for reading the third installment Mending the Mind. I think they’re such easy-reading, beautiful collections that I don’t mind rereading everytime a new one is out – I will probably end up rereding them again once I get round to reading the fourth installment: Stitching the Soul.

Clockwork Angel and City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

So, I did still manage to reread two of Cassandra Clare’s books from the Shadowhunter series, but I didn’t finish any of the others. I intended to reread The Infernal Devices Series in preperation for Chain of Gold when it came out in March, however I only managed to reread the first installment in time and couldn’t wait any longer to pick up Chain of Gold. Then, later on in the year, I decided to start my The Mortal Instruments reread and again only got as far as City of Bones before I went into a reading slump. I am hoping that in the new year, I can reread them as I am missing the characters and the story so much.

Heartstopper Volume One by Alice Oseman

I actually reread this one in anticipation to review all three of the volumes. I only got round to reviewing this one though (you can view it here). Let me know if you’d like me to review the other two. I might do them leading up to when the fourth installment comes out in May. I am really excited for the fourth one to come out so I can continue Charlie and Nick’s story.

If I Stay and Where She Went by Gayle Forman

I don’t really know why I randomly picked this book series up again. I think I wanted a quick read and a good cry. I also was curious if I would enjoy this book as much as I did the first time round. I don’t think I was as captured by it the second time around, however I still really enjoyed them. I read them both in one sitting and I had a great cry and a great time doing it.

Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks

This one is a little bit different. I read this one for the first time this year as part of the Easter Readathon and then I recently read this one in November too. I think I was struggling to let the Halloween season go this year, so I needed to escape into the pumpkin patch for a little bit before Christmas well and truly began. It is such a cute graphic novel and I know it’s going to be one I pick up every year.

Did you reread anything this year? Are you a big rereader?

I reread two Percy Jackson books this year. By the way I love Pillow Thoughts and the Infernal Devices Series. Haven’t reread them though.

Haven’t reread anything yet, but will.

Next year- I plan to start on Chronicles of Narnia. That will be my first reread. Eventually, the next reread will be Harry Potter.

Ahh lovely post! I don’t really reread much as I have the resolution to clear my never-ending tbr first haha! I’m so heartened that you love the characters from the Shadowhunters world, The Infernal Devices is one I have heard so many wonderful things about and hope to use to enter the complex world of Cassandra Clare’s books!

I admire that! I get so distracted by rereads that my tbr just grows! I hope you enjoy the Infernal Devices! I love all of the shadowhunter series

I hardly ever reread so I am always interested in seeing what other people pick up over and over. I have been meaning to pick up a collection by Peppernell for ages, so definitely bumping that one up my list!
