The Christmas Carol Book Tag

Hello! Today I have another Christmas-y book tag! I first saw this book tag on Lauren Wade’s YouTube channel. I am so sorry this post is up so late today, but instead of delaying it further, let’s get into the book tag!

Question 1: The Ghost of Christmas Past – A book that was a childhood favourite

Anything by Jaqueline Wilson, I think! Particularly My Sister Jodie that one has greatly affected me!

Question 2: The Ghost of Christmas Present – A recent book that you think will become one of your all time favourites

I am currently reading We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal and I think that has the potential to be one of my favourites!

Question 3: The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come – A book coming out next year that you’re most excited about

How could I not put House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J Maas as the answer to this question. I’ve actually booked time off of work to read this one!

Question 4: Bah, Humbug! – A book that everyone else loves that you just can’t stand

The Maze Runner by James Dashner – I can’t stand that series but so many people love it.

Question 5: Bob Cratchit – An old dependable that you always recommend

I think if anyone is looking to get more into high fantasy, A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas is one that I always recommend.

Question 6: Tiny Tim – An underhyped book that you think deserves more love

I don’t know if it was underhyped when it came out, but I think Lovely War by Julie Berry deserves more love! It is just a beautiful book and I think more people should read it.

Question 7: Today? Why it’s Christmas Day! – What’s a book that always gets you in the mood for Christmas (apart from A Christmas Carol)?

This year reading The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox got me into the Christmas spirit! Although it is hard to get into the Christmas spirit when you work in retail and it has been Christmas in the shop since September.

Question 8: The Muppet Christmas Carol – Your favourite film adaptation of a book

I know people hate it, but I loved the film adaptation of The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. This film introduced me to the book series which became one of my favourites of all time! I still rewatch it to be honest!

That is it for today – sorry again for getting the post up a bit late. It has been a bit hectic at work this week and I am not as organised with Blogmas as I should be!!
