It’s Blogmas day three! Today, I wanted to share all of the Christmas books that I have got this year. I haven’t got many phyiscal books to haul. I was in the mood to read some Christmas books, so I ended up getting a bunch of Christmas themed audiobooks and a couple of physical bboks. I’ve never really read any Christmas themed books for whatever reason, but this year I really wanted to change that. I’ve already read some of these and the reviews will be coming later on during blogmas.

My New Crush Gave to Me by Shani Petroff

I simply searched ‘Christmas YA’ in google and this one showed up in multiple articles. I bought the audiobook and started listening to it straight away. I devoured it. It was such a quick read. My rervidew for this one is going up in a few days, so you’ll get to read all about my thoughts then.

Skipping Christmas by John Grisham

I believe I found this one on a ‘Christmas movie hits that are actually books’ kind of list. I am not a huge film person so I didn’t recognise any of them. This one, however, caught my eye. I liked the sound of the synopsis and decided to pick it up. I listened to this one in one sitting. I did not like it though. I feel like there were some major issues that just couldn’t be overlooked. You can read more of my thoughts late next week though.

Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares and The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

I actually got the second book before I got the first one. I didn’t realise it was a book series – I was completely oblivious to it all. I likely realised though, before I started reading it. So, I had to get the first one and I am actually currently listening to it. I was surprised at how quickly it actually starts – I don’t think that makes sense. I really felt there was no lead up and the book of dares starts immediately. I’m really enjoying it actually. It feels very classic YA and I am loving it right now.

Carols and Chaos by Cindy Anstey

The cover for Carols and Chaos caught my eye and then the synopsis intrigued me. It’s a historical fiction and a romance. Perfect! The only thing is, I made the same mistake and it is a second book; however, I’ve done a little reading on about it and it doesn’t seem like you have to read the first book in order to read the second. Hopefully, this is the case and it won’t be too bad. If I do have to read the first, I don’t think I will have enough time to read the first one in time to review the second one for when I initially planned and I might have to give it a miss for this year.

Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe by Melissa de la Cruz

I picked this one up because it was a Melissa de la Cruz book. I have loved Alex and Eliza and when I found out she had a Christmas book, I had to get it. I haven’t actually read Pride and Prejudice though so I am hoping I can understand this enough to enjoy it.

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

I just really wanted a nice edition of A Christmas Carol. I have read it multiple times and I have never owned a pretty edition of this. I’m so happy I finally got one.

This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens
I’m not sure if this one counts as a Christmas book, but it counts as a New Year read, so I’m going to include it on this list! I am really excited for this one. My favourite time of the year is New Year so to read a book set around New Year is a dream for me. I am going to save this one until after all my Christmas reads though!

What books (if any) have you bought for the Christmas period?

Didn’t buy a single Christmas book this year. However, did buy Little Women, which starts on Christmas Eve.
As far as actual Christmas, the last one I got was “A Christmas Treasury”. One of my gifts for Christmas last year
