Today I am going to share my tentative April TBR and my April bullet journal spread. I am trying to use my bullet journal a little more to give me a little more structure while in isolation. I try to use it regularly in normal life, but recently I have put it to one side.
I got inspiration from pinterest to help me with the title pages. I’m not very artistic, but I find doodling and colouring very soothing. I also like listening to my audiobooks as I organise my bullet journal and I always finish feeling like I’ve been very productive.
My first double spread is a title page for April, with a quote on the left ‘grow through what you go through’. I like to always have the month on the right hand side and a quote on the left. I also try to have a colour theme for each month and this months is pink. On the next double spread I just have the monthly overview, which I will go in and add in birthdays or any events usually. However in the current situation, I can’t see it being full at all.
I then have my habbit trackers for: workout, no spend, instagram, reading, writing and journal. I find it useful to keep track of these things, just so I am aware of how productive I am being and where I need to focus more on. On the next page, I have my blog posts list, where I will go in and plan when my blog posts are going up for the week. I like to keep my blog posts scheduled in advance when possible, so this will help me have a visual of what days or weeks I need to focus on getting posts up. On the next double spread, I have the first week of April setup. This week is a little different as there are less days in it due to the start of the month, so I’ve just left out some boxes. I will probably go back in later and add in some stickers or washi tape.
Now on to my TBR. I am not someone who likes to plan out a strict TBR, I almost never stick to it. This month, I have an idea on what I want to read, but I rely very much on my mood choosing my read.
If I Stay and Where She Went by Gayle Forman
I have been wanting to give this duology a reread for a long time and I’ve decided that now is the time. I first read the duology in 2014/2015 and absolutely loved it. I’m interested to see if I am still going to feel the same about it or if I just think back on it with nostalgia.
Hunted by Meagan Spooner
This book has been on my TBR for years, and I’ve spoken about it being on my TBR for years too. I finally just got the audiobook for it so I think I will get to it this month.
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
This series is a huge comfort read for me and with everything going on, I think I want to start my annual reread of all of the books. I adore these books, and I know I will love them again.
Three of the books on here are rereads, but I want comfort right now rather than worrying about my TBR.
What books are you planning on reading this month?
