Hello! Today I wanted to do another Christmas themed book tag. I saw this one over on Falling Down the Book Hole. It seemed like a really fun tag, so let’s get into it!
Stocking – a book that is full of surprises
I read The No-Show by Beth O’Leary back in April and honestly the entire book had my jaw on the floor. Just as I thought I knew what was happening, something would happen that would put me back to square one. It was truly remarkable.
Mistletoe – your favourite book full of cute kisses
The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling (or even the first book in the series The Ex Hex) – both books are full of adorable kisses and are great witchy romance books.
Snowman – a book that leaves an icy chill
White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson was the book that got me out of my reading slump and it truly was creepy and definitely left a chill down my spine!
Turkey – a book with all the yummy food
There are actually so many books based around baking and cooking and all of the delicious food. One of them being The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox which I feel like I have been non-stop mentioning! But it is such a great novel – especially for this time of year.
Cracker – a book that ends with a bang
I recently just read Cinder by Marissa Meyer and that book definitely ended with a bang! I can’t wait for the new year to dive into the rest of the series.
Decorations – a book with a magical setting or scenery
I posted my reivew for this one the other day, but it would feel wrong putting anything other than Midnight in Everwood by M.A. Kuzniar for this question! It is the ultimate magical setting and scenery.
Sprouts – a book that you loathe
As it is this type of year, and it is a Christmas book tag, I think it is only fair that I put Skipping Christmas for this one. I hated this book and whenever I think back on it I always get angry and I am pretty sure I hate it more and more every time I think about it.
Santa – a book that keeps on giving
The first one that came to mind for this one was Bad Habits by Flynn Meaney which is a funny, feminist, young adult story that truly did keep giving and has stayed with me for quite a long time!
Boxing Day – a book that you were sad was over
Last year, I read Wrapped Up In You which is a Christmas short story by Talia Hibbert and I really, really wish it was a full length novel. I loved it so much.
Shining Star – your favourite book of the year
I am still undecided on this one… My post will be up closer towards the end of blogmas, and that is mainly because I am still not sure! I have not read many books this year, but the ones I have read I have absolutely adored.
This was a super fun Christmas themed tag! Let me know if you try it out too!

I think that I would find it impossible to pick a single book for the whole year
