WWW Wednesday

Hello! It has been a while since I last did a WWW Wednesday post, so I thought I would give it a go this week, especially as I have had a really great reading week. WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

There are just three questions to answer:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

I am the type of reader who reads multiple books at once! I am currently rereading an old favourite of mine which is A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas. I have been having such a fun time rereading this series. It is always going to be a book series that feels like returning home for me.

The other book that I am currently reading is We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal. I have had this on my TBR for quite some time and I am so excited to be finally getting to it. I am loving it so far and have fallen into a bit of a routine where I listen to the audiobook as I colour in the evenings. It is something I find myself looking forward to every evening!

I am also currently reading Malice by Heather Walter, but this one I am taking a long time to read. I have been struggling for a few years now when it comes to reading books physically. I find that my mind wanders too much and I can’t recall anything that has happened on the page despite reading it four or five times. I am trying to get better at this and ease myself back into this and I am trying this with Malice. I am only a few chapters in, but I am really enjoying it so far.

Let’s start with the more obvious one. I recently finished reading A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas. Again, it was such an enjoyable read that felt like returning home. I actually took my time with this one. Normally I fly through the novel, unable to pace myself. But, this time around I took my time and just dipped in and out of the story, which was a lovely experience that I don’t usually have with this series.

The other book that I recently finished was In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren. I ran out of time last Christmas to read this one, so this was top of my list to read this year and I am so happy that I did! It was definitely good, however I get why some people were disappointed by it. My review will hopefully be going up later on this week so I will save my full thoughts for then!

I have so many books that I want to read, but I want to start checking some books off of my Christmas-y TBR, as we are getting closer and closer to Christmas and I am running out of time! I think I am going to try to get to Midnight in Everwood by M.A. Kuzniar or maybe So, This is Christmas by Tracy Andreen or maybe I will read another one off of my 2020 Christmas TBR which was This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens. There are so many options!

Let me know what you are currently reading!
