Hello! I have so many Christmas themed books to read this year and I am so excited about it. As many of you will know, I am a huge mood reader, so all of my Christmas/Wintery books have been stacking up and I have been waiting for this time of year! There were a couple where I couldn’t help myself, and I read two Christmas themed books in November. They were a great two and I loved both of them, so it kicked off the Christmas reads in a good way! I don’t know if I am going to get to all of these books this year, but I am going to give it a go, so let’s get into my list!
In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren
I think I wanted to get to this one last year when it came out and everybody was talking about it. Although, it isn’t on my TBR from last year, so I don’t know why that is. I feel like people have mixed feelings about this one, so I am really interested to see what I think of it. I have only read Autoboyography by the author duo, and I didn’t love it, but still liked it, so I am interested to see what I am going to think of it!
Midnight in Everwood by M.A. Kuzniar
I think Midnight in Everwood has been my most anticipated book release of the latter half of the year! I am so excited to read this one! It is a Nutcracker retelling, and I am not too familiar with the Nutcracker story. Actually, I am not familiar at all with it, my only knowledge of it comes from Barbie in the Nutcracker. But I cannot wait to read this one! I have heard so many good things.
So, This is Christmas by Tracy Andreen
I bought this book on a whim, because it sounded like such a quick, fun Christmas read. It is more of a YA read, and I haven’t been feeling YA recently. However, the story begins when the main character returns home from boarding school, so that doesn’t feel as YA as usual. I don’t think that makes sense, but nevertheless, I am looking forward to reading this one!
In the Time We Lost by Carrie Hope Fletcher
This one was on my December TBR from last year, but I never got round to finishing it. I started it last year, but got distracted by a different book and ended up putting it down for a little while. I intended to read it last Christmas, but didn’t and since then I have been saving it for this Christmas! So, hopefully I can read this. If I do, then I would have read all of Carrie Hope Fletcher’s adult fiction novels in time for her new one, With This Kiss, to come out next year!
This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens
This was another one that was on my TBR last year! I’m not really sure why I didn’t get to this one – probably got distracted by all of the fantasy books I was reading this time last year. Hopefully I can get to it this year! New year is my favourite time of the year, and I believe that this one is set around New Year, so I am so excited to get to it!
The Winter Garden by Alexandra Bell
I heard so much about The Winter Garden when it came out earlier this year, and it was quite an impulse buy. I had seen something like twenty tweets about it as I was scrolling through Twitter one day, and I just had to buy it. It has since sat on my shelves, patiently waiting for me to pick it up.
The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss
This one sounds like such a fun Christmas romance that I think I will fly through once I start reading it. It is set in England, which is always a plus for me, as I live in England. It is another Christmas read that involves baking (I recently read The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox and that one centres around baking!), so I think that might be a theme for me this year! I can’t wait to read it, and I think I will start this one very soon!
On top of this, I normally read a lot of fantasy around this time of year. There is something about the Christmas decorations being up and being all cosy that makes me crave fantasy novels. I usually reread A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas and I have definitely been feeling the urge to reread them lately so I hope to get to those soon! I also recently spoke about five books that I haven’t read yet in 2021, and I would really like to get at least two of the ones on this list read!
I am feeling so excited about this fresh month – and the last month of 2021!! I can’t wait to read a bunch of these books. Do you have any Christmas themed books on your TBR? Or have you already read a Christmas themed book that you loved? Let me know!
