Hello! Today I have another book tag and this is one that I found over at ZeZee with Books, but it was created by Stuart @ Always Trust in Books. I love talking about bookish stats, so I thought this would be the perfect one to do this week as I had an opening for a post!
Last Three Books You Read
- Legendborn by Tracy Deonn
- Roman and Jewel by Dana L. Davis
- City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
Spoilers or Spoiler Free?
Spoiler free – I rarely read synopsis because sometimes I think they give a bit too much away!
How Long Have You Been Blogging?
Seriously for a year and a half, but this blog was started years and years ago. I probably started it around 2015/2016 and then I deleted all of those posts. Then in 2019, I started it up again, but I didn’t post very much and then in February 2020, I started to get a bit more consistent!
A Book You Read in One Sitting
Most recently – You and Me on Vacation by Emily Henry!
Your Favourite Genre
Completely depends on my mood! But I think the most I gravitate towards are romance and fantasy – although I love historical fiction too.
Preferred Book Size (Novella, Novel, Tome, etc)
By far novel, but I do prefer longer novels!
Amount of Books on Your TBR
Far too many! I’d estimate over 200 at this point – it is getting out of hand.
A Book That You DNF’d
I don’t think I have DNF’d a book recently – I get distracted away from books, but always return to them. I think the most recent one I’ve put down after getting distracted was Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.
Recent Awards or Milestones?
I just posted my 200th post!! It is honestly crazy to me that there are now over 200 posts on my blog – I still feel like a baby blog.
Best Interaction with An Author You Enjoy?
I honestly don’t really interact with authors that much at the moment. I used to be active a lot on Twitter interacting with authors and my most memorable was with Jennifer Mathieu where I told her how much I loved Moxie and we had a back and forth about how great it was.
Average Number of Books You Read Per Month
Between January and August I have read 53 books, which averages at 6.6 books per month. But to be honest, it varies greatly I’ve had two months this year where I haven’t read a single book and then one month where I read 11, so it really is mood depending.
Top Three Publishers
I think I read the most from Bloomsbury, Penguin and Simon & Schuster.
Social Media Your Blog Uses
Twitter: @Kiraxjf and Instagram: @Kiraxjf. I really need to be more active on Instagram though! And social media in general to be honest, but I am definitely better at Twitter than I am at Instagram.
Average Amount of Time You Spend Networking
This varies every time. I think about an hour, but I can fall down a networking hole and be doing it for hours at a time or sometimes I will only do it for five or ten minutes.
Most Comfortable Blogging Position
At my desk or on the sofa, sometimes in bed – I’m not really fussy!
Music or Quiet When Writing Reviews
As much noise as possible, but rarely music. I constantly need noise when doing anything, so when blogging or really doing anything (reading and sleeping) I will have Netflix or YouTube on in the background, sometimes a podcast – I have really been loving the Fandomtastic Podcast at the moment! If you have any bookish podcast recommendations let me know in the comments!
Can You Sum Up Your Blogging Style in Five Words?
Chaotic rambling of my thoughts.
A Blog You Looked Up to When Starting Out
I honestly don’t really remember from when I was starting out, but some of my favourite blogs are:
Lost in Neverland + Tea Time Lit + Stephen Writes + A Book a Thought
Best Book You Reviewed so Far
So far this year the favourite book I’ve reviewed is Me and You on Vacation by Emily Henry!
Best Piece of Blogging Advice
When it stops being fun or enjoyable – take a break. Come back when you’re refreshed and wanting to post again.
I actually had a lot of fun doing this tag! I’m not going to tag anyone, but let me know if you decide to do it!
I love this book tag, I agree with you about having to have something in the background when you write!
