Hello! Today I have another book tag. I was tagged by the lovely Riddhi @ Whispering Stories to do The Inside and Out Book Tag last month. It’s been a little bit since I have done a book tag, so I thought I might as well finally get to this one!
Inside flap/back of the book summaries: Too much information? Or not enough?
Too much. I don’t tend to read synopsis or summaries – I like to go into books with as little information as possible. I will listen to whether people are speaking highly of the novel and I might read a synopsis once, but once I have decided that I am interested in the novel I won’t read anymore information on it.
New book: What form do you want it in? Be honest: Audiobook, eBook, Paperback or Hardcover?
To own: hardcover. But at the moment to read, audiobook. I quite often like to listen to the audiobook whilst following the pages in my hardcover copy too.
Scribble while you read? Do you like to write in your books; take notes, make comments, or do you keep your books clean, clean, clean?
Definitely no scribbles in the books! My books are clean, clean, clean. There are no creases, no folds no pen marks.
Does it matter to you whether the author is male or female when you’re deciding on a book? What if you’re unsure of the author’s gender?
I don’t take it into consideration at all, to be honest. Although, I do find that I read more from female authors but that is just coincidence.
Ever read ahead? Or have you ever read the last page way before you got there?
I used to always read the last page way before I got there, but thankfully I have gotten out of that habit. I used to always get so annoyed at myself for spoiling it for me, but I also couldn’t help myself. One thing I do still do, which is also annoying, is that if something exciting is happening on the page, I can’t stop my eyes from skipping over to see what happens – particularly if it is the end of a chapter. I have to cover the parts I haven’t read yet, sometimes.
Organised bookshelves or outrageous bookshelves?
I prefer them organised, but after a couple of days, they end up being outrageous until I reorganise them! At the moment I have them organised by colour, and separated into books I’ve read and books on my TBR, so it kind of looks a little like a dual rainbow! I find myself staring at them all of the time, but the problem with them being rainbow and separated is that once I’ve read a book, I need to reorganise the whole thing to be able to add the new book into the rainbow. So it is often in chaos.
Have you ever bought a book based on the cover (alone)?
Yes so, so, so many, and so far no regrets.
Take it outside to read, or stay in?
I tend to read more inside, but I do also love reading outside. I love being out in the sun and reading! Although, I think I romanticise the idea of reading outside more than I do enjoy it – I think I spend so much time anxious that mud or grass is going to get on my books and I hate that.
I’m not going to tag anyone, so if you want to do the tag you’re welcome to! Let me know if you do, I’d love to see your answers.
Fun book tag. My bookshelves are always in chaos! 🙂

That’s the best thing about summer for me – chilling outside with a good book! And perfect books are the best kind of books

Awful, isn’t it?! Why did we do this to ourselves?
