Top 5 Tuesday

Top 5 Books on my Wishlist

Two posts in two days? Who am I?

Hello! Today I am taking part in another Top 5 Tuesday. Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm, but now it is hosted by Meeghan at Meeghan Reads. This week’s topic is top 5 books on my wish list.

I have so many books on my wish list, so I am going to choose the ones that have either been on there the longest or ones I desperately want. I am always adding books to the wish list. There’s always so many amazing sounding books that I never have enough time to read!

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

I know this is a book series and not a single book, but I am still counting it! The Lunar Chronicles have been on my wish list for so long. It has been a ridiculous amount of time. So long in fact that I really should have bought it or at least asked for it for Christmas or a birthday or something. I think what has held me back is that it is such a well loved series that it almost makes me scared to purchase them and read them. Hopefully soon I can get over this, because I think I will love it. I loved Marissa Meyer’s Heartless and I love retellings in general, so I do think it is right up my alley!

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

This is another one that is so adored by many people. I’ve heard nothing but god things about this book and it makes me so excited to eventually get it. The only thing is… it is huge! It is over 800 pages. I love big books, but more from authors I love and have already read their work. 800 pages to introduce me to an author is pretty intimidating though. But, I will get there – there is a reason that this still remains on the wish list!

Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar

Adiba Jaigirdar is a relatively new author that I have been intrigued by since hearing about her debut The Henna Wars. Both her debut novel and her second novel, Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating, are high on my wish list. They are ones that I constantly have my eye on and sooner or later I am going to have to bite the bullet and purchase them!

Serpant & Dove by Shelby Mahurin

This book, and the other books in the series, are very, very high on my wish list! Unlike the others, they remain on my wish list for a very silly reason. I don’t want the paperback versions. I really, really want the hardback versions. I love hardback covers and much prefer them. I predict that I am going to really love this series, so I want to make sure I get them in a format that I really want!

The Brown Sisters series by Talia Hibbert

Lastly, it has to be The Brown Sisters series by Talia Hibbert. I cannot log onto any of my bookish accounts without seeing one of these books. They are so well loved in the community and form what I hear, for good reason too. I am really hoping I can get to these this summer. I kind of associate contemporary books with the summer time – especially romance books, so hopefully I can push myself to finally get these books!

As I was looking through my wish list looking for these books, I realised just how many I have on there! I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump the last two months, but seeing how many incredible books are out there has finally made me want to pick up a book again!

Let me know what books are high on your wish list!
