Welcome to the first day of blogmas! Every day until the end of the month, there wil be a blog post going up every day!
Today, I’m going to share what I read in November. I actually had a really good reading month! Considering I was doing NaNoWriMo and planning for blogmas, I read a lot. I also reviewed quite a few of these which also felt really nice. I feel like I’ve finally worked out a balance of reading then reviewing, so hopefully I can maintain this in the future. For now, let’s get into the books that I read in November.

Chameleon Skin by Breanne Weber

I was kindly provided with a copy of the e-book by Raine Publishing. I felt like it had been ages since I read a poetry collection and so when I got the opportunity to review this one, I jumped on it. It is a wonderful collection and you can checkout my reiview here if you want to know my full thoughts.
Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo

I finally got the Poet X off my TBR! It has been sitting on my shelves since it was released in 2018. I kept seeing it every where and I finally caved and sat down to read it. I read it in only a couple of sittings and it was just as beautiful as I had expected and as much as everyone said it was!

In Love & Pajamas by Catana Chetwynd

I was kindly provided with an e-arc of this book via NetGalley. I won’t be putting this review up on my blog until closer to the release date in the new year, but I did really enjoy it. I felt like there were some areas that could have been developed more but overall it was a really cute graphic novel about a relationship.

Candy Hearts by Tommy Siegel

I was kindly provided with an e-arc of this book via NetGalley. Like In Love & Pajamas, my review for this one won’t be up on my blog until closer to the release date, as it isn’t until March in the UK. I did really enjoy it though. It’s a graphic novel that gives short comics using candy hearts to show different relationships. It was a very funny novel and I’ll give you my full thoughts in the new year.

Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks

I think a little part of me was struggling to let the Halloween season go, so I decided to pick up Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks for the second time this year. I loved it, and it was exactly the cute autumn read that I needed.

My New Crush Gave to Me by Shani Petroff

I have a review of this one going up later on this month! I believe I have it going up Monday. I think the more I sit on this one, the more I like it. It is just a really cute, light Christmas read. It was a quick read which is exactly what I was after.

Skipping Christmas by John Grisham

I also have a review of this going up later on this month, so I will give you all of my thoughts then, but I really didn’t like this one. I’m not sure if the film is better – I think the film is called Christmas with the Krank; but if it’s like the book I am really not going to enjoy it.

Yes, I did. I actually loved Little Women when I was younger, but never knew why.
So, it was time for a reread.
Now December has to consist of a different TBR list- due to finishing A Christmas Treasury earlier than I thought

Brilliant! On the reread did you find all of the reasons? Any ideas what you’re going to read in December?😌

Well- I think of part of my love came from the fact that I am a sister. So I understood the sisterhood in the book-could relate to it.
December- started on Pour Your Heart Into It. It is basically a story about how Starbucks became what it is today

I’m also a sister so it makes me want to read it even more😌 oh that sounds really interesting! Hope you enjoy it

I have an older sister. In Little Women, I can truly see the sisterhood- the fighting and the loving

Nice reading month! That’s so awesome. How did you do at NaNoWriMo? I have YET to be successful at it. I always start out with the best of intentions and then I get distracted and just forget about it. It’s terrible. I hope you did better than I did. 🙂

I have a full conclusion to NaNo post going up on Thursday, but I didn’t complete it😅 I got about 35k done which I’m still very proud of – was definitely upset initially but the longer I think about it, the better I’m feeling about still writing 35k in 30 days

My November has been so unique and unforgettable. I was tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of October, and devoured 22 books trying not to make myself feel worse by imagining a worst case scenario….
