I have seen this post everywhere, including on Reading in the Wings, so as I am currently staying home as much as possible, I’ve decided to give it a go.
Laying in Bed – Book You Could/Have Read in a Day
I recently reread If I Stay by Gayle Forman in a day. It’s such a short, quick, emotional read that I finished in one sitting. I think the first time that I read the book I also finished it in one day. It is one you just have no choice but to devour.
Snacking – A Guilty Pleasure Book
The Selection Series by Kiera Cass is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. It is a quick series that captures you and makes you live and breathe in the book.
Netflix – Series You Want to Start
The Six of Crows series by Leigh Bardugo is one that I have been wanting to start for so long. It’s also one that I have been saying I am going to pick up soon for a long time too; but I do really want to start it…
Deep Clean – Been On Your TBR for Ages
I am ashamed to say that Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare is still on my TBR. I am a huge Cassandra Clare fan, but for some reason I still haven’t picked this book up. I am hoping I can get to it before the second book comes out later this year.
Animal Crossing – A Book You Recently Bought Because of Hype
Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston is the most recent book I bought becuase of the hype. I have started reading it and it has definitely lived up to my expectations so far.
Productivity – Book You Learned from or Had an Impact on You
A lot of books have had an impact on me over the years; What I Lost by Alexandra Ballard is definitely one of them. It taught me a lot about anorexia but also treatment centres. I had never read a book that took place in a treatment centre so it was interesting to read about.
Facetime – A Book You Were Gifted
I was gifted The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger in 2016 just before I went to university. It’s a classic, but I still have not got to it. I don’t know when I will get to it, but I’m very thankful it’s on my shelf!
Self Care – What is One Thing You Have Done Recently to Look After Yourself
Exercising is definitely something I have began doing more of recently. Since the lockdown began, I have found it useful to exercise to clear my mind and just all around feel better.
BONUS – Name a Book Coming Out Soon
The Paper and Hearts Society: Read with Pride by Lucy Powrie is coming out on the 28th May. It’s the second book of The Paper and Hearts Society series. I adored the first book and I am really looking forward to the second book later this month!
Absolutely bump Six of Crows up your TBR, it’s amazing! But I don’t think you’ll lose much sleeping on Red Scrolls, unfortunately 😅

SoC is SO worth the hype! But to be fair I might be in the minority with Red Scrolls so definitely give it a go 🙂

I still haven’t read Red White & Royal Blue, but it’s been on my TBR forever. Today I tuned into a brief Q&A with MacMillan Library & Casey McQuiston–Casey is such a cool person!

I’m half way through it and loving it so far! I don’t know much about the author, but I might check the interview out now☺️

I just finished binge reading The Selection series. I ordered the follow on book but I’ve been told it will take 8 weeks for delivery because everything is so slow at the moment! I loved If I Stay but get way too emotional when I read it, and haven’t read Six of Crows yet but looooooove Leigh Bardugo! Have a beautiful day 🙂

Hopefully it’ll get to you sooner than 8 weeks! If I Stay is definitely an emotional one, you have to be in that mindset to read it! I’m glad I am not the only one who hasn’t read six of crows yet🙈
