A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read

My friends aren’t massive readers, but I guess the Harry Potter series has always been one that friends have told me to read. Last year I managed to get to book four (I think) before moving on to something else. One day I will finish them and probably give them a shock in the process.

2019-02-08 14.17.19Question Two:
A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t read it

The Inkheart series by Cornelia Funke is a series that has been on my TBR for years! I have just never been in the mood to read them so couldn’t find the motivation.

Question Three:
A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten around to finishing

I have a post discussing four here.

Question Four:
A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but have never actually read

A Tale of Two Cities and Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. I love the idea of loving classics but I can never really immerse myself into the world. It’s something that I would like to read more of in the future.

Question Five:
A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo is the main one I think, but there are so many. My TBR is forever growing.

Question Six:
A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but just haven’t picked up yet

You by Caroline Kepnes – I loved the TV series and think it is really well done. I’d like to read the book, but because I’ve watched the show I don’t know if it would be that enjoyable. Has anyone read it? How similar are the two?

Lovely War

Question Seven:
A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet

Right now I would have to say Lovely War by Julie Berry. I hear it is based in World War One and narrated by Aphrodite. It sounds really interesting.

    1. I have heard so many good things! I might pick it up during quarantine – do you recommend reading The Grisha trilogy first? (I only have six of crows)

      1. I don’t think that you need to, no. I did enjoy the Grisha series, but not nearly as much as Six of Crows. The only time it does matter is if you go onto King of Scars, the next spin off as that does heavily feature characters from the first set of the Grishaverse series

  1. The first time I read the Harry Potter series I stopped at 4 too and then continued the rest a couple of years later. Then I reread the books last summer and once again I stopped after 4. The books just start getting bigger and I don’t have time for that haha

Also Six of Crows is really good and I still haven’t read the Grisha trilogy.
