The Quick Fire Book Tag

I saw ‘The Quick Fire Fantasy Book Tag’ on Carly’s blog Reading is my Kind of Thing and you’re meant to answer with all fantasy books but I’ve decided to change it a little because I am not really reading much fantasy at the moment or in the past year. I did include one fantasy book, so I guess that counts for something.

Rules:

  • Thank the person who tagged you and link back to their post
  • Link to the creator’s blog in your post
  • Answer the prompts below – all fantasy books!
  • Tag 5 others to take part
  • Enjoy!

I gave five stars to Not If I See You First by Eric Lindstrom when I read it last year. I had never read a book with a blind main character, so I found it fasinating to read a book where there wasn;t a visual description. I really enjoyed the new perspective, but I also really enjoyed Lindstrom’s writing style. I also read A Tragic Kind of Wonderful by Eric Linstrom, and while I didn’t enjoy it as much, I still really gave it four stars and I can’t wait for more of his work.

I don’t think it’ll come to a shock to anyone that I am putting Under Rose Tainted Skies by Louise Gornall. Everyone who knows me or has followed me on social media, knows how much I love this book and important of a read I think this book is when it comes to representing mental health in YA.

2020-02-28 12.14.45Own it but haven’t read it yet…

Last year, all I heard about was Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I finally got my hands on it at the beginning of the year but have yet to pick it up. I am unsure when I will get to this one, I feel like it is one of those books that I will need to be in the mood for or I won’t enjoy it.

2019-02-08 15.45.25Would read again…

I’ve been meaning to reread If I Stay by Gayle Forman for such a long time. I read this in 2015 (I think) and I adored it even if it did rip me apart. I have never cried as much at at book as I did with this one. I really want to see if I still would enjoy it after all this time.

2020-03-26 13.48.07In another world…

I have read Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire, but I have yet to read the rest of the books in the Wayward Children series. I’ve heard so many good things about the series. When I read the first one though, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would but I have three of the other books in the series so I am willing to give the series another shot.

Back on Earth…

I definitely would not want to live in the world created by Neal Shusterman in Scythe.  The idea that death and diseases have been eliminated sounds good in theory but the consequences and having the Scythes in the world is certainly something I do not want.

  1. Thank you for tagging me, I loved seeing your responses and how you gave this tag your own twist! I really enjoy Seanan McGuire’s series, I think the rest of the books aren’t too dissimilar accept that they take place in different worlds!
