Movie Adaptations I Still Need to Watch

I am the type of person who likes to read the book before I watch the film. However, I suck at watching films! I read all of these books in preperation to watch the films, but I still haven’t gotten around to watching them, despite some being out for a few years. Some of these are my favourite reads too, so hopefully I can get round to them soon!

The film for this one is called Love, Simon and Simon is played by Nick Robinson who I adore as an actor. I loved this book and I’ve heard good things about the film too so hopefully I can get round to it soon!

I have been raving about this book since I read it in January. I only picked it up because I saw on Twitter people talking about the film. I am so happy that I ended up reading it as it is now one of my favourite books of all time.

My mum watched this film after I made her read the book, but clearly I am not following in her footsteps very well.

I have never heard anyone say anything bad about this film and I have every intention of watching it… eventually.

A Monster Calls

I had to read this book for university around a similar time that the film came out. My intentions were to watch the film straight after I finished reading it, but clearly…

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

This film is one of my sister’s favourites and it was the reason I finally picked this book up! But, it’s been eight years now and I still haven’t watched it, so I’m not sure if I will ever get to this one. Hopefully I will.

What are some films that have been on your watch list for way too long?

  1. I did not know about the adaptation of The Monster Calls. I’ll have to check it out. I’ve watched all of the others you mentioned and really enjoyed them. I hope you love them whenever you watch them!
