Hi guys! Today I’m going to share my April TBR – it is an incredibly flexible list and I doubt that I’m going to get to everything here, but I like having a selection to choose from and I just can’t decide what reading mood I’m in this month.
I finally want to read the Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling series – I’m finally going to do it.
I don’t know how many of these I’ll get to. It could just be the one or it could be all seven. I think I’ll choose the first three for this month, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone; Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets; and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but we’ll see how it goes!
As part of the research process for my poetry course I want to read:
A Survivor’s Guilt and A Survivor’s Journey both by April Goff;
Collected Body by Valzhyna Mort;
The Blue Rock Collection by Forrest Gander;
Letter Against the Firmament by Sean Bonney;
Speculatrix and The Triumph of Cancer both by Chris McCabe;
and Feminine Gospels by Carol Ann Duffy.
I’d also like to read Pillow Thoughts II by Courtney Peppernell as I really enjoyed the first one when I read it last month.
I finally am going to finish Every Hearts a Doorway by Seanan McGuire. I’ve struggled with this one, despite it being so small it has taken me about a month and a half to actually read it. I have about an hour left on my audiobook and the ending will be the decider to whether I continue with the series or not. I’ve heard such good things about the series, but I think I went into it with my expectations too high.
I also started The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo last month but only got a couple of pages into it; from what I read I really enjoyed so I’m really excited to get to this one!
This is quite an ambitious TBR pile for me, but I am really hopeful that I can get to it! Audiobooks are definitely going to help me out here – and I’ll have plenty of opportunity to listen to them as I will be travelling a lot and also packing up to move back home. Like I said in my last post, thank-you for being patient with me as I try and work out a schedule.
I haven’t read any of these books (including any HP) so looking forward to hearing what you pick up this month and your thoughts!!

Glad to hear you’re liking Poet X, I have that on my TBR pile and you’ve just reminded me – might need to bump it up a bit!
I’m re-reading the Harry Potter series at the moment on audiobooks and thoroughly enjoying it all over again! Hope you enjoy them too.
