February & March Wrap Up!

Hey guys – I’m going to start this by apologising for my absence the last month. I have been dealing with some things that I’m not ready to share on this blog just yet; but also I’ve been working on something really exciting too. I’m entering the last couple of months in my final year from university and I’ll also be moving homes in the coming months, so I cannot promise that this will be kept active but I will try!

As I completely missed March out, I have a lot of catching up to do, starting with what I read in February! God, February seems like forever ago.

I finished off my rereads of the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas with A Court of Wings and Ruin and then also reading the novella A Court of Frost and Starlight.

I also decided that I wanted to reread all of the books so far in The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare. Starting with The Mortal Instruments Series and in February I got to City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels and City of Lost Souls.

I then read the powerful novel Dear Martin by Nic Stone. I enjoyed this so much and it is one of my favourite reads of the year.

For uni, I read Orangeboy by Patrice Lawrence. I really enjoyed this one and even gave it to my mum to read too and she is enjoying it as well.

I finally got to an Adam Silvera book! I have had They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera on my TBR since it came out and it’s been sitting on my shelf since. I randomly picked it up one weekend and it broke my heart just like everyone warned me that it would!

Now for March. I don’t think I have ever read this many books in one month…. 17 books! It was very much a poetry and Shadowhunter kind of month. I’ll start with the poetry books. I’m going to list them as I loved them all and would become a bit repetitive if I stated why for each:

Let Me Tell You This by Nadine Aisha Jassat (I hopefully have a review of this coming soon);

Intoxicated Minds by Jade Millard (Hopefully will have a review for this soon, too!);

Kingdomland by Rachael Allen;

and When Lust Was Enough by Shannon O’Connor.

I finished up The Mortal Instruments Series with City of Heavenly Fire and then moved onto Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy – for some reason I had never read this before! I really enjoyed it, despite not usually liking novellas.

I then read The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare: Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince and Clockwork Princess. It had been a couple of years since I reread this series and I forgot how much I loved this story and Will Herondale.

Lastly, I began The Dark Artifices series, Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows, even though I only read the last two a couple of months ago. I think I might leave my reread of Queen of Air and Darkness as I did only read that in January, but we’ll see how that lasts.

There we go! I know it was a bit of a long post of catch up, but even though I haven’t been blogging very much I have been reading! Hopefully in April I can get the balance right. Even whilst I’ve been away though, I have been making notes for reviews and ideas to post so hopefully I can make it up to everyone! Thank-you for being patient with me and I’ll see you very soon.
